1.1 Information you provide to us
- Account information: when you sign up, we collect your name, email address, password, and organization name.
- Billing information: when you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor collects your billing address and payment card details on our behalf. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Customer Content: documents, tasks, messages, files, and other content you upload to your workspace.
- Communications: messages you send us through support, sales forms, or email.
1.2 Information we collect automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps, and similar interaction data.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, and referring URLs.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4 below.
1.3 Information from third parties
- If you sign in using a single sign-on provider (for example, Google or Microsoft), we receive basic profile information from that provider.
- We may receive information about you from partners, resellers, or publicly available sources to help deliver or improve our Services.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
- create and manage your account and authenticate your access;
- process payments and send transactional notifications (invoices, receipts, important service updates);
- respond to your inquiries and provide customer support;
- send product updates, marketing emails, and newsletters where permitted (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve the Services;
- detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, security incidents, and abuse;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: we work with trusted third parties who process data on our behalf — for example, cloud hosting (AWS, Google Cloud), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, analytics, and customer support tools. These providers are contractually required to protect your information.
- Within your workspace: content you post is visible to other members of your workspace in accordance with the permissions you set.
- Legal compliance: we may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Blue Cloud, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, subject to continued protection under this policy.
- With your consent: we may share information for other purposes when you direct us to do so.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, and measure the performance of our marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may impact core functionality.
We use the following categories of cookies:

- Performance and analytics: help us understand product usage and improve the experience.

5. International data transfers
Blue Cloud is based in Hong Kong and our service providers operate globally. Your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries outside of your own, including those that may not provide the same level of data protection as your jurisdiction. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your information when it is transferred internationally.
6. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business reasons. Customer Content in a deleted workspace is typically removed from our systems within 30 days, with additional 60 days in backup copies.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, role-based access controls, regular audits, and security testing. No system is perfectly secure, however. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access and portability: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal or contractual obligations.
- Objection and restriction: object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing activities.
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
- Marketing preferences: unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message we send.

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Services before the changes take effect.
